PRINT

Printing options

Offset

A two-step process where designs are printed on a paper sheet and applied to a heavier core stock. This makes it ideal for complex designs with gradients, photography or rich colours.

Flexographic

A versatile printing process using flexible relief plates, which means you can print directly on uneven or supple substrates (e.g. corrugated cardboard) and maintain quality.

FAQ

What is the strength of the cardboard?

At Packhelp Plus, we are able to produce mailer boxes from cardboard of different thickness grades and strength ratings, starting from the default E flute option, going through to B flute cardboard and ending on the super durable 5-layer EB flute grade. Our sales team can guide you through all the options in more detail.

Can I print multiple colours directly on the cardboard?

Sure, but it depends on the design and its complexity. Your delivery mailer boxes will be printed using flexographic printing and 3 colours are the maximum before quality issues arise. Our expert estimation team can help you find the best solution or explain more about the printing process – just reach out.

Can the box be damaged during shipping?

These mailer boxes are solidly constructed from durable corrugated cardboard and designed to withstand the usual bumps during delivery. But there are many other factors at play. It depends on the flute type you select, as well as the type and weight of the objects you put inside your mailer boxes – not to mention the handling skills of the courier.

What's the difference between the Corrugated Mailer Box and the Delivery Mailer Box?

The Corrugated Mailer Box is a standard FEFCO 427 box without an adhesive strip. The Delivery Mailer Box has 1 adhesive strip that makes the box faster to assemble and close.

How do you assemble this mailer box?

It’s easy. →Take a look here.

Can I ship food inside this box?

Not exactly. The corrugated carboard used in these mailer boxes is not certified to have direct contact with food. But they can be used to transport food products sealed in food-safe packaging, such as our Cake Box. Tip: don’t let the name throw you; you can customize our cake boxes to hold various types of food.

Is the print included in the price? Does the print size influence the price?

Yes, the print is included in the price. With offset printing, the print size does not affect the price in any substantial way. Even with flexo printing, which has a default threshold of 30% of the box’s surface area, the number of colours and the type of surface are the main factors influencing print costs. But other additions, like inside printing, will naturally affect the price. You can mix-and-match to evaluate different print variations during the instant quote process. It’s easy. But if you need any more guidance, our dedicated sales team will help you find the best solution.

Why are the mailer boxes made from 90% recycled material and not 100%?

From our R&D, we have found that corrugated carboard with at least 10% virgin fibres makes the stock more durable and stronger than fully recycled cardboard.
