This selection of void fill offers several paper-based solutions to cushion and brace products. Wood Wool consists of kiln-dried wood slivers that interlock to form a supportive nest for heavy or delicate items like bottles and ceramics. For wrapping and void filling, Plain Honeycomb Paper expands into a 3D hexagonal structure, providing a flexible cushion that conforms to product shapes. This material works well for items that require surface protection. Another option, shredded paper, fills smaller gaps and provides a decorative base for gift sets or subscription boxes. These paper void fill products come flat-packed or compressed for efficient storage before use. Each type of filler has a distinct texture and structural property, offering different levels of protection and visual presentation. The choice depends on the product's weight, fragility, and the amount of empty space inside the shipping box.

Choosing the right void fill materials

Selecting the correct void fill materials depends on your product's specific needs. For heavy items, a dense filler like wood wool provides robust support. For lighter objects or those needing scratch protection, honeycomb paper or shredded paper are effective choices.

Customising void fill paper

For a branded internal packaging presentation, Custom Packing Paper offers a surface for logos or patterns. We print designs in one or two Pantone colours on white or brown kraft paper, available in a 50 gsm weight. This option combines product protection with brand reinforcement. It functions similarly to standard tissue and packing paper but with a personalised design. Crumple the custom paper to fill voids, or use it to wrap items directly. For a simpler, unprinted but colourful filler, Plain Shredded Paper Filler comes in multiple colours to match a brand's palette without a custom print. This allows for a consistent look across all void fill packaging components.

What void fill do you offer?

We offer three types: wood wool, shredded paper filler and biodegradable packing peanuts. All fill empty space in the parcel and protect the product in transit.

How do the fillers differ?

Wood wool is light and decorative - it presents the product nicely in the box. Shredded paper densely fills the parcel and cushions the contents. Packing peanuts are a light, loose fill that surrounds the product closely and protects it from shocks.

What are the fillers made of?

The shredded paper filler is made of paper, and wood wool of a plant-based material (wood).

What colours does the filler come in?

Shredded paper comes in four colours: brown, white, red and black. Wood wool comes in brown and black. You can match the filler to your brand colours and reinforce the unboxing.

What is void fill used for?

Fillers protect the product from damage in transit, fill empty space so the contents do not move, and complete the unboxing look.

How much filler do I need for a parcel?

Enough to fill the empty space around the product and hold it still in the box - the more empty space and the more delicate the product, the more filler. Shredded paper and wood wool are chosen by weight (1-5 kg), and packing peanuts by volume (100-200 l), depending on your shipping scale.

In what quantities is the filler sold?

Shredded paper comes in 1, 3 or 5 kg packs, wood wool in a 5 kg pack, and packing peanuts in 100 or 200 litre packs.

Do you offer bubble wrap?

No. Instead of bubble wrap we offer paper and wood wool fillers and packing peanuts, which cushion and protect products in transit.
